Set in a hundred-year-old, two-car garage in the heart of LA’s thriving Highland Park community, The Yoga Garage is an intimate, yoga space that is ideal for beginning or deepening your yoga journey. Tanya Greve offers small group, private and online yoga classes - including Yoga Therapy - and specializes in postpartum core and pelvic floor recovery. Drawing from her 20 years of teaching to varied populations, from toddlers to seniors, Tanya always adapts the yoga to the student, not the other way around. The Yoga Garage welcomes all levels and abilities, keeping in mind that a fundamental goal of yoga is to balance, reconcile, and harmonize our seemingly disparate elements – sort of like a Buddha and a tire.

Currently holding virtual classes on Zoom on Saturdays at 9 am and Mondays at 6 pm. In this time of isolation it is as important as ever that we move, breathe and find ways to connect. Classes are gentle, breath centered and include meditaiton. By donation. Email for link and password.

Core and Pelvic Floor

After pregnancy, many women struggle to regain proper function of their core and pelvic floor. This can lead to abdominal distention, lower back pain, pelvic floor pain or weakness, incontinence, diastasis recti, hip or SI joint pain. Many common core exercises can actually make the issue worse. The good news is that with a gentle, specialized practice we can re-awaken muscles that are not functioning correctly and integrate them to find a well-functioning, re-invigorated core.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy applies the teachings and practices of yoga to empower individuals to progress towards better health and well-being. We begin with an intake, and after exploring the the specifics of the individual, I create a personal yoga practice that will move the client towards his/her unique health and wellness goals. Tools that may be applied are posture, breathing, meditation, visualization, mantra, self inquiry, lifestyle changes, and self care techniques.

Private Sessions

Yoga was initially only taught one on one. Whether you are looking to address specific questions about alignment, are navigating an injury or just feel more comfortable without the distractions of a group, private instruction can be beneficial. In a private session we can tailor a practice to suit your needs and goals.
